Alex Hardie, 30, started his career in communications as a journalist. He was lured away by the bright lights of marketing and PR, spending 5 years as head of marketing at Virgin, before moving to San Francisco self publishing company, Blurb, where he helped launch the brand across Europe.
He now works as a social media consultant and is the director of How Do You Do, A Digital Marketing Company. His clients include Groupon and other well known internet businesses, he also founded the Shrewsbury International Festival of Photography in 2011.
